Georgia Unemployment Down to Under 10%

Though Georgia’s unemployment rate has recently dwindled to peek out beneath the 10% mark, it has only barely done so. Still, what this means is that the state has experienced job growth for a three-month in a row period, so things may be on the way up for sure. Job increases are largely due to the leisure and hospitality industries.

In March, the Georgia unemployment rate was at 10%; today it is just beneath that mark, at 9.9%. While this margin is indeed slim, it’s the first time that Georgia’s unemployment rate was below 10% within the past two years—which is definitely something to celebrate.
